Issue Position

I fully support the LGBTQ+ community, and when I am elected to Congress, I will fight for equality for all.

I support the Equality Act (H.R.-2282), Every Child Deserves a Family Act, the Fair and Equal Housing Act, as well as any bill that prohibits discrimination against the LGBTQ+ Community.

I will fight to ensure the LGBTQ+ community has access to proper healthcare, without fear of discrimination or mistreatment.

I will oppose any legislation which supports the "protection" of religious liberty at the expense of others' rights.

I will fight discrimination against LGBTQ+ people by creditors and banks so that people will not be unfairly denied mortgages, credit cards, or student loans.

I plan to advance policies to ensure that all students can attend school without fear of bullying, and work to substantially reduce suicides.

I advocate for and support transgender military, and will fight against any shortsighted and discriminatory policies.

I will support police departments that adopt policies to ensure fairer interactions with LGBTQ+ people, especially people of color, who are often targeted by police unfairly.

This work towards justice and equality necessarily includes the analysis of power systems and the acknowledgement of intersecting identities. Marginalized people face multiple oppressions and we will only achieve justice by addressing how they impact one another.
